Crop Hunger Walk
The Crop Hunger Walk is a chance for community members to get together and raise money and awareness for our growing issue of poverty and hunger in America, and in our own backyards. I volunteered my time to walk 3.4 miles, which represented how long it takes women (on average) to get water each day in developing countries. It was a great event to be a part of and I plan on participating in this walk for years to come. No one should go to sleep with an empty stomach, and no one should have to wake up each morning wondering where their next meal will come from.
I also was quoted in the article released by High Point University found below.
