Organic Chemistry I

Professor: Dr. Wommack

Completed: Fall 2016

Reflection: This is one of the hardest courses I have ever taken. The concepts are entirely new and spatially complex that it forces me to sit down and think critically, which is a great mental exercise. Chemistry in general for me has been difficult for me to grasp, but whenever I pass the course I can honestly say I have learned a tremendous amount of information that has also come with a ribbon tried to it that represents life lessons. The life lessons I have learned from this course are as follows:

  1. New material and concepts are hard to grasp and understand, but if you try hard enough, it will soon become clear. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
  2. “It is not hard…it is new.”–Dr. Wommack

I will always remember these lessons that go hand-in-hand with one another. Whenever I experience a new challenge that I feel like I cannot overcome, I can remember that I have what it takes to get over that moment of self-doubt.
